Skate Clothes
Skate clothes are the clothes that are meant to signify the aura and demeanor of the skater. These clothes are in their nature casual and have a few varieties that focus on some constant themes. The first of which is thin. Be it jeans or shorts, the legs of the skate clothes are tighter than your normal pair of pants and are meant to be worn lower than average, at least for the guys side of things.
Another theme is the casual clothes. The casual nature of the clothing means that shirts can be wrinkled, dirty, or even misshaped. The clothing marketers no this and have styles like printed words, crossed out, or street style graffiti. Of course, major clothing companies like Volcom or DC will continue to have their logo emblazed onto all varieties of shirts, but a newer fad is the revival of the plaid movement. The casual comes out in the plaid as it uses different colors to make a crossover stripped pattern.
The skate clothes movement also embraces some avante guarde, less than popular modes of coloring. For example the extreme coloring of the plaid into black and neon blue, or wearing shoes that are all one boring brown, or even wearing shoes that have 4 cliché colors that are intermingled. In any event, the clothes are most noticeable by the demeanor they put forth from the wearer, and cannot necessarily be outlined as skater clothes, unless the person who is wearing them also is skating at the time.
